Kosé Corporation has tapped Japanese professional baseball player Shohei Ohtani as its newest global ambassador.

Ohtani, nicknamed “Nitoryu” in Japan for his two-way baseball skills, is also known for his strong work ethic, sportsmanship and humble personality.

“We at Kosé are thrilled about our partnership with Shohei Ohtani,” said Kazutoshi Kobayashi, President and CEO of Kosé Corporation. “He embodies our values and our 3G strategic vision that focuses on global, gender, and generation. As we increase our global presence, we want to be a company that celebrates beauty across all regions and countries, across all genders and across all ages.”

Ohtani will feature in Kosé’s upcoming advertising campaigns throughout the U.S. during the baseball season, promoting the company’s popular skincare products such as lotion and sun care from its brands DECORTÉ and SEKKISEI. The campaigns will not only focus on healthy-looking skin but also on promoting healthy lifestyles.

Kosé’s decision to partner with Ohtani, a widely respected athlete and advocate for healthy living, is in line with the company’s efforts to promote beauty and wellness around the world.
